Brie Shortt grew up in the small rural community of Madison Township, Ohio, and is a graduate of the School of Fine Arts at Miami University, Oxford. Her work has been in exhibitions such as ReRoot (2012) at the Clifton Cultural Arts Center, Unexpected Directions (2012) in Hiestand Gallery, and the Summerfair Cincinnati Emerging Artist Exhibition (2013) at the Anderson Center. Shortt’s artwork delves into formal ideas of chaotic harmony, and is influenced by a vast collection of items she finds intriguing.
Shortt began her tattoo apprenticeship under the guidance of Carter Moore in 2013, and was released in 2015. She is currently working full time at Immortal Canvas and enjoys tattooing all subject matter and styles, however would like to create custom pieces that reflect her painting style. When out of the shop Shortt enjoys spending time with family and friends and experimenting with multiple facets of creative expression.
